CeminSeal™ products help CSR’s new headquarters achieve
a 5 Star Green Star Rating.
CSR’s new Green Star
premises at Stockland Triniti Campus in North Ryde have been awarded
a 5 Star Green Star – Office Interiors v1.1 rating for the fitout of its new
offices.
CSR Cemintel General Manager, Drew
Spiden, says, “The Triniti project specified CeminSeal Barestone™, a compressed facade with a raw
cement look, and CeminSeal Wallboard™ for superior wet area linings.”
Why
CeminSeal™?
CeminSeal™
is a new family of products that offers sustainable advantages over standard
fibre cement. The big point of difference is all CeminSeal™ products are
manufactured using the new patented waterblocking technology that prevents
water from penetrating the board, ensuring less call backs and increased peace
of mind.
50%
reduction in carbon emissions
Other CSR products
used throughout the fitout and also the building include Bradford Insulation,
Gyprock Plasterboard, Fricker Ceiling Systems, Hebel Aerated Concrete, Rockcore
& Alturi Panel Systems and Viridian Glass.
CSR’s Chief Executive Officer of Building
Products and Aluminium Division, Rob Sindel, says, “Our vision for the new headquarters
was for a sustainable workplace that encouraged innovation and collaboration
between business units, and provided up-to-the-minute facilities and
technology.”
The new initiatives, together with the
smart green building features are expected to deliver carbon emissions
reduction of around 50% in the first year for the head office premises.
“The Green Star certification, together with
CSR’s commitment to the environment, helps us to attract good employees into
the organisation and reflects CSR’s desire to improve our safety, health and
environmental performance,” comments Rob Sindel.
