An existing home in Victoria’s Goldfields region has undergone an extension with the goal of creating a sustainable home and workspace using building materials that complement the beautifully rugged surrounding environment, and blend seamlessly with the existing stone exterior of the original house.
Set in the Victorian bushland and being a bushfire-prone area, the external cladding materials needed to have a low combustibility rating, as well as look good. Cemintel BareStone was used for the extension because it blends perfectly with the existing palette of the house and site and has the required insulation and fire safety requirements.
