Cemintel Board & Batten™ combines fibre cement cladding sheets with a range of fibre cement battens to create a distinctive, layered facade. Strong vertical lines bring depth and texture to exterior walls, complementing Barnhouse, Contemporary and Coastal architectural styles.

Cemintel’s patented adhesive fixing method bonds the battens to the cladding sheet offering greater design freedom. The cladding, battens and specified Board & Batten Adhesive work together as a complete system.

Cemintel Board & Batten™ Information

Create striking board and batten façades with the durability of fibre cement and the flexibility of our patented adhesive installation system.

The Cemintel Board & Batten™ system combines wide cladding panels with narrower battens that are applied over joints and across boards, creating a distinctive layered appearance that adds depth, texture, and visual interest. Available in four batten sizes, the system offers flexibility to achieve a range of architectural styles, from modern coastal and contemporary homes to bold commercial façades.

The system brings together trusted Cemintel products into a complete architectural solution, addressing growing demand for textured vertical cladding. Fibre cement battens deliver outstanding durability and rot resistance, while the patented adhesive fixing method minimises visible fixings, simplifies installation, and provides greater design freedom without the need for additional framing.

Patented Adhesive Installation Method

The adhesive fixing method removes the need for additional framing behind the cladding sheet to mechanically fix the trims, helping simplify installation. Installation time is comparable to weatherboard installation.

The adhesive has been tested for Cemintel-to-Cemintel bonding, including lap shear and tensile testing, as part of the Board & Batten fixing system.
